Deleting your search history from your Android phone

Remove recent searches or clear your complete search history with only a few touches on your mobile device. There is a simple method to remove any searches you’ve made within the previous 15 minutes. If you’d rather delete your searches one at a time, you may do it in a more nuanced manner by following the instructions below.

From the Google Search app

1. The Google Search app must be opened.
2. Select your profile photo from the menu that appears.
3. Select the Browsing Cache.
4. You’ll need to verify your identification before moving further. You may do this by clicking the blue Verify button at the page’s bottom.
5. Select next and then confirm using a password, PIN, fingerprint, or screen lock pattern.
6. At the page’s bottom, you’ll see a list of all of your past Searches, with a checkbox next to each item and date.
7. To remove a search or an entire day, just tap the corresponding X.
8. Click the blue Remove symbol and choose from the choices to delete your search history in bulk: delete today, delete a preset range, delete all results, or delete all results automatically. The first three allow you to remove all searches, searches from today, or searches from a certain time period. Use the auto-delete feature to get rid of inquiries that haven’t been useful in 3, 18, or 36 months.

2. To access the menu, use the three dots () at the top right.
3. To adjust your privacy and security settings, go to Settings > Privacy and Security.
4. Select the Clear Browsing History option.
5. Select the information you want to clear and the time frame in which to do so, and then select Clear data from the menu that appears.
