Lisa Bonet was born on January 12, 1967 in San Francisco, California. Her father is David Mouton Moses, a French jazz saxophonist who immigrated to the United States as a teenager (he also has family roots in Jamaica). Her mother is Arlene Mayer, an actress and activist who has taught at Harvard University and Yale University.

Bonet grew up with her parents and siblings Juliette Lewis and Gabriel Mouton in Los Angeles. She began acting at age six when she appeared on The Jeffersons alongside her mother. Bonet and Cosby Reportedly Had a Rocky Relationship

Although Bill Cosby and Lisa bonnet father were married for only four years, their relationship was reportedly quite tumultuous.

The pair first met in the 1980s when she was cast on The Cosby Show. They married in 1989, but divorced in 1993 following her pregnancy with Zoë Kravitz. When asked about her mother’s relationship with Cosby now, Kravitz told Oprah Winfrey that it had been “strained” before he went to prison. “My mom and Bill were not close anymore,” she said on an episode of OWN’s Super Soul Sunday. In fact, Lisa Bonet publicly criticized her ex-husband after he faced allegations of sexual assault from dozens of women who claimed that they were drugged or sexually assaulted by him during his heyday as a comedian and actor in Hollywood—and it seems like there might be some bad blood between them to this day!

After the publication of Cosby’s book, publicist Andrew Wyatt dismissed the claims.

“It’s ridiculous,” he said to Entertainment Tonight. “Her father was a police officer and [he] treated Bill with a lot of respect.”
